The Role:
We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers to work with our client based in Beenleigh, QLD. Our participant has suffered a spinal cord injury as a result of a motor vehicle accident and requires high intensity care. Applicants with prior experience of working with spinal cord injury clients will be highly regarded. This is a casual ongoing position with no end date in sight; we can offer part-time or full-time hours.

The shift times are as follows:

• Day shift (Mon - Fri) will be 7:00am - 2:00pm
• Day Shift (Sat/Sun) will be 7:00am - 10:00am
• Afternoon shift (Mon - Sun) will be 9:00pm - 11:00pm

Pay Rates:

• Day shift $38.75 per hour
• Afternoon shift $42.63 per hour
• Saturday shift $54.25 per hour
• Sunday shift $69.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with toileting
• Assistance with bowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)
• Hoisting (full hoist/sling hoist)
• Completing skin checks
• Medication administering
• Supervision/assistance during meal time
• Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation
• Assistance with Health & Rehab exercises
• Community access + rehab appointments

Skills & Experiences:

• Australian Driver Licence
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current NDIS Screening Card or Yellow Card
• Current Blue Card or Working with Children Check
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
